FUNK OUTTA HERE: Le Ballate Anni 80

Nonostante non siano perfettamente nelle mie corde, anche io ho voluto creare la mia playlist con le ballate anni 80.
Per ballate anni 80, formalmente “Power Ballad”, intendo quelle canzoni romantiche, dolci, d’amore e malinconiche che hanno rappresentato gli anni ’80; partendo dal genere pop, passando per il soft rock, fino ad arrivare al rock classico, che conosciamo tutt’ora.

A mio avvio, il massimo esponente della mia lista delle ballate anni 80 è sicuramente Christoper Cross, con la sua Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do): si tratta della canzone, estrapolata dalla colonna sonora del film Arturo (“Arthur”, appunto), film del 1981 che racconta la storia del milionario Arthur Bach, il quale prima di andare verso un matrimonio combinato con un’altrettanto ricca, si innamora di una dolce e povera cameriera.

Un altro autore interessante è, assolutamente, il magnifico, unico e fuoriclasse Elton John; è definito uno dei maggiori artisti del rock contemporaneo, ma le sue canzoni di maggior successo hanno segnato e fatto sognare soprattutto gli anni ’70 ed inizio ’80.
Le sue melodie dolci mi hanno portata a renderlo partecipe di questa playlist delle ballate anni 80.
